10 employer attitudes that chase good employees away

1. Using disciplinary measures Inappropriately: "Employee salary is to them, what profit is to the business owner". Never be in a hurry, or as a means of punishment, to deduct their salaries. If you must, the terms must be stated in the employee handbook and should be justifiable.
.
2. Over working your Employees: It can be tempting to over work your good employees, but later it begins to look like punishment for great performance. It's counter productive. They will run away if they feel suffocated.
.
3. Verbal and physical Abuse: Been abusive to your employees is the fastest way to ruin your business no matter the fantastic structure in place or trainings you invest in them. Flee it! Abusing employees is giving the devil space in your business.
.
4. Pitching employees against each Other: This one is like witchcraft. Some employers do this with the mind of getting information. Once employees discover your tactics, they will turn against and make mockery of you.
.
5. Cannot communicate or clearly define your Expectations: When the lips does not fully communicate what's in the mind. If you can't communicate in a clear and concise manner, you will not get the desired result from employees and this can cause misunderstanding and frustration on both parties.
.
6. Taking credit for employee Accomplishment: Employees crave recognition and makes them perform better. If you take that away, they won't have need to put in their best or over perform.
.
7. Hiring and promoting the wrong People: Hiring and promoting based on sentiments (family & loved ones) and not performance is a πŸ‘Ž. Its very demotivating and makes the work not worth it.
.
8. Preventing employees from pursuing their Passion: If you deprive them because you selfishly don't want them to grow or leave, is a fast way to actually tell them to leave.
.
9. Habit of owing salaries and refusal to honour Commitments.
.
10. Lack of genuine love and care towards your Employees.
